Sex educator Sue Johanson dead at 93

Sue Johanson, sex educator and longtime host of the radio show Sunday Night Sex Show, has died.

Johanson, 93, died in a long-term care home in Thornhill, Ont., CBC News reported.

She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death, a representative told the news outlet.

Johanson is best known in Canada as the host of Sunday Night Sex Show, a weekly live call-in radio show that premiered in Toronto in 1984. It later spawned a television version of the show, which ran on the W Network from 1996-2005.

She openly discussed all things sex on her programs with honesty and humour.

In 2002, Johanson’s show branched out to the United States with Talk Sex With Sue Johanson, which ran for six seasons on the Oxygen network.
